Getting Started
To create a Student Request Assignment, navigate to SEVIS Admin > New Student Experience > Configuration > Student Request Assignment. Each campus site will have it's own section for request assignments, if any request assignments already exist, they will be found within that campus' section.
Clicking on the arrows to the right of the campus section will expand to display the request assignments. Again, clicking on the request assignment will expand to display the set-up information for that request.
The request assignment displays whether it is active or inactive, and the if-then workflow configured for that request. The request can be edited or deleted with the icons in the lower right-hand corner.
Adding a New Student Request Assignment
To start with creating a new Student Request Assignment, click on the Add Assignment button located in the lower right-hand corner of the campus site that you would like the assignment to be associated with. A Workflow window will appear for you to begin. Begin by giving your workflow a descriptive title. In the lower section of the window, you must define how the workflow will behave.
Step 1 - The Rules
You must indicate what request this workflow will operate off of and any student parameters. All requests will be listed in the Request Type dropdown menu at the top of the Create Request Assignment window. You will have the following student parameters to filter:

Step 2 - Actions
The second step in creating a Request Assignment is to establish which ISSS Admin the request will be assigned to. Multiple ISSS Admins can be selected and will be assigned in a round-robin fashion.
To the right of the Task Assignment action type, a dropdown menu will appear with all the ISSS Admins who are apart of the campus site that the request assignment is being created for. Select the ISSS Admin(s) that will have the request assigned to them.
An email can also be sent to students as part of the task assignment. To add the email action type, click on the Plus icon on the right side of the modal window. This email is sent once the request has been assigned to the ISSS Admin. Selecting the Mail to Student option will show the additional options to write in the subject of the email and a dropdown menu of Email Templates. (For more information on configuring Email Templates, check out the KB Configurations > Email Templates.)
At the bottom of the Actions screen, there is the Active toggle. When creating a new Request Assignment, the Active toggle will automatically be enabled. However, if you would like to make a Request Assignment inactive, simply move the toggle to the left. The Request Assignment will remain in the campus site section it belongs to and you can always come back to it to reactive.
Once these two steps have been completed, click the Save Assignment button in the lower right corner of the window to save the Request Assignment.
Edit or Remove an Existing Student Request Assignment
Perhaps changes need to be made to existing workflows - personnel changes or perhaps additional steps should be completed. This can be done quite easily by editing an existing workflow setup. To edit an existing Student Request Assignment, click on the pencil icon on the lower right side of the request box. This will have a window box pop up that will allow you to make any changes to the request. Click Update Assignment to save changes.
To remove an existing Student Request Assignment, click on the red circle with the trashcan icon. A window box will appear confirming to delete the assignment.
