Example 1 - Signature Included
The header identifies the sending institution, while the footer includes the email signature for the primary contact admin, an explanation that the email was automatically generated, and an anti-discrimination statement. These elements could be useful for a smaller or one-person office where the admin name would be recognized by email recipients.
This example uses the "Special Container" style to visually separate the office name in the header. The footer includes only a general statement about the email with links to more information and an additional set of text required by university policies. This may be more suitable in a case where an office has many staff or a wider variety of recipients.
This minimal formatting uses the "Subtitle" style to add a notice in grey text to the header and footer of the email to identify the university source and the auto-generated source of the email.
Example 4 - Conversational Opening
This example uses a conversational opening in the header field to identify the university, while using an all-caps formatting in the footer to provide additional information about the autogenerated source of the email. Because recipients in this case may be working with multiple offices, the text directs recipients to reach out to their respective contacts with any questions.
Example 5 - Additional Explanation
Visually distinctive formatting and additional explanation may be useful if admins are finding that users are confused about the source of these emails. This example uses the "Special Container" style to visually separate text that identifies the source of the email in the header and footer, and includes an additional explanation in the footer of what AlertTraveler® is and a link to more information on the university website.
