The Global History Log is a record of events taking place in Travel Registry, with events recorded starting with the installation of the Travel Risk 22.1 release. This is the beginning of logging functionality improvements, with more to come in future releases!
The "Global History Log" permission is needed in order to access this functionality. Due to the scope of information available in the log, this access is not granted to any permission group by default.
To enable, visit Travel Admin > Staff Management and either:
- add the permission to an existing group, such as Travel Admin; or
- create a new permission group specifically for access to the Global History Log and add users to this group
The permission is named "Global History Log" within the Travel Admin group. (See Travel Registry: Administrative Access and Permissions for more on setting permissions.)
The Global History Log is an ongoing record of events that have happened within your Travel Registry. Access this log from Travel Admin > Global History Log. The default view includes all emails and workflows filtered to show the last 14 days.
Additional filtering is available for the email and workflow types.
The history log for sent emails is available by opening the Travel Admin > Global History Log. On this page, filters are available for User and Type: Email, as well as date filters and a general search field.
Note: This log includes all emails sent by Travel Registry, including trip receipts and workflow-generated emails. For emails sent by AlertTraveler® for alerts and check-in requests, visit the Traveler History instead (see AlertTraveler: Traveler History for more information on this feature).
For each email, information about the date, time, recipient, type of email, and the subject are shown in the history log list.
Clicking on "Show Contents" opens up a window with the full details of the sent email to view.
The history log for workflows can be accessed two ways:
- By opening Travel Admin > Global History Log
- By opening a workflow and clicking on the "Show History" icon
From the Global History Log, filters are available for Type: Workflow, with optional subtypes for Create, Update, and Delete events. Filters are also available for the user who made changes, date filters, and a general search field. Clicking on the name of the workflow opens the edit window for that workflow.
From the workflow itself, clicking on the "Show History" button (marked in green in the screenshot below) opens the Global History Log with a view that is filtered to show only events that are related to that specific workflow. Clicking on the X icon next to the name of the workflow clears this filter.
This method of opening the workflow history log will include all Create and Update events related to the selected workflow. To find information about a deleted workflow, visit the Global History Log and use the Type: Workflow. The subtype: Delete provides information about who deleted the workflow and when this took place.
